The HP TouchPad Tablet is fast becoming one of the most popular internet tablets on the market these days. And it has a LOT of competition out there. It seems that every major computer and electronics company has a tablet out.
So what makes the HP tablet stand out and be different from the others?
Here are the main features of the HP TouchPad Tablet:
WebOS 3.0 – This operating system was mentioned in more reviews because it seemed to make such a difference in how well internet interface went. Lots of people didn’t realize what a difference this would make. It helps with the speed of operation, but also allows Flash to work extremely well.
The OS 3.0 can integrate lots of different applications and hooks them together, so it seamlessly works, instead of having to download a lot of different apps to make things work. And you can use programs like the Amazon Cloud Music, which is missing on some of the other pc tablets.
Flash – This works extremely well on the HP Pad. According to many users, it’s truly amazing the difference when it does work good. On some digital tablets, it hardly works at all. (Including some of the best sellers.) You don’t realize how much you actually use the flash player, but the browser in the WebOS 3.0 supports flash and works really well.
Integration with other HP devices – This was mentioned a few times in reviews, too. It’s interesting how many people already have an HP printer or other devices, and the HP Touch will hook up wirelessly and automatically to those devices without being asked to. So when you’re ready to print, voila!, the HP tablet is all ready to go.
Also mentioned was that this touchpad HP is good competition for the iPad. Many thought the use of less apps was a good thing, and enjoyed not having to do everything through apps. And lots of users, especially business people, have chosen to replace, or at least supplement their laptop use with the internet tablet.
One negative that was mentioned was that the app selection was a little slim for this product. That is probably because it is really new, and changes and upgrades are coming out all the time, which will probably remedy this situation.
The HP Touch Pad makes it easy to multi-task, because everything’s in one place, there’s no need to look all over for the right app. Email especially works great, and the TouchPad will configure all your accounts and look for mail for you. In the corner of the screen, email can stack up, all you do is swipe away those you don’t want, and get to answering what you do.
